“Replacement for Western Star in the Okanagan? – Could well be.”
The small band of dedicated Mammoth Truck staff in Summerland drove their first Mammoth Euro-American Class 8 Tractor out of their equally small factory in the James Lake Industrial Area of Summerland into the bright Okanagan sunshine this week. Significant, as this vehicle is going to have a bright future in the growing Right Hand Drive Export Market throughout the world. First visitors from New Zealand arrive on June 22nd followed by visitors from South & Central Africa in July and August. This vehicle incorporated the best of both trucking worlds. A modern and drive friendly European style cab with the traditional simplicity and longevity of a North American chassis and drive train. A perfect combination for the demanding export markets that adamantly require R.H.D. vehicles with very strict overall length restrictions, both impossible criteria for North American used truck dealers to meet. In short, the right truck for the right (hand drive) market.

Great that there is so much discussion about the same. The press release speaks very good of the product and rightly so.
